About Basic Max MSP Course

In this course students will learn the basics of MaxMSP and the introduction to what MaxMSP can do. Students will learn right from the basics of using the software up until making simple but creative patches. Students will also learn how to make a better patches using techniques such as randomizing, probability, modular programming, patch organizations, and using different kinds of sensors to control the computer. Last but not least, Max for Live is also taught in this class.


Prerequisites of Basic MaxMSP Course

Student must have workable knowledge on digital audio, MIDI, sound theory, and synthesis. This can be current Audio Engineering student who already passed these classes, or equivalence. There is no prerequisite about coding and programming skill.

Enrolment Requirement

There are no academic requirements or pre-requisites to enroll into this program. The participants should be at least 18 years of age upon commencement of the course, basic knowledge of English language and computer operations.

Duration: 3 months (24 lessons of 3 hours each)
